My DS is 2.5YO he is quite big and won't fit into those baby vests anymore (could only get up to 24M) what do you do when this happens?

It's too cold for a normal vest asit will propbably keep coming up so was thinking of buying little pants to put over nappy and tucking vest into that, would that work?

He has absolutely no intention of potty training, he won't even look at the potty never mind sit on it and he's terrified of the toilet for some reason. So Potty training is not an issue with the pants.

You can get larger versions of the vests -- here, for example (also in short-sleeved and long-sleeved styles), although I've seen them elsewhere too.

you could buy short sleeved vests in a size too big so they will be really long, then tuck into trousers?)
Or buy thermal long johns and tuck vest into that?

Verbaudet do bodysuits up to 3yo.

vertbaudet 3 years vests are more like 2-3 so probably no good. DS is in 3-4 vests so we have got the same problem. I have been using the vertbaudet ones with vest extenders.

M&S do normal vests with sleeves... but if you got 3-4 rather than 2-3 they would tuck into trousers nicely.

nappyaddict · 24/11/2008 11:11

Yes I got DS some of those - £5 for two.

I also got a pack of 4 long sleeved plain coloured tshirts from next for £8 or £9 and i use them as vests.

Have just been told Asda do long sleeved tops for about 75p so going to go there and get some to use as vests aswell.

EachPeachPearMum · 24/11/2008 12:41

btw- if he's really cold... consider putting wooly tights under his trousers too (which the vests would tuck into)- my mum did this with db as his circulation was so bad, and presumably DS is home with you rather than anywhere he'd be embarrassed about wearing tights! She had to stop when he started school of course.

nappyaddict · 24/11/2008 13:43

woolworths do long sleeved tops aswell 3 for £3 in different colours or plain navy blue ones for 70p.

I just bought t-shirts, didn't really have a problem with them rolling up. Especially if you buy bigger ones.
