Wait untill the pull ups are dry in the morning - or lift him before you go to bed, to make sure he stays dry all night.

Remember some DCs (especially boys) are not dry at night for years after being dry in the day.

How old? Dd wasn't dry at night until about 15 months after she was dry in the day. We waited until said she didn't want to wear a nappy any more (she was about 3.5), then lifted her when we went to bed for a few months.

She had a spell when she would sometimes wear a nappy and sometimes not - if she wore one it would always be wet in the morning but if she didn't she never wet the bed. So I'm not convinced you have to wait until pull ups are dry in the morning.

I am in the same situation with ds. Has been dry in the day for ages now but no signs of being dry at night. Some nights his nappy gets s full I have to change it before I go to bed. He is 3yrs 4 months.

My Ds was dry at 3.2 during the day and night. For some reason he just did it.

DD on the other hand was dry and in knickers at 2.10 but still wears a nappy at night and she is now 3.4... Walleroo DD is the same, we usually nappy change when we go to bed.

You can't train them the same way at night as in the day. You just have to wait until he is dry himself.

Just leave it until they are ready. DD was dry from about 2.3 during the day, at 5.5 now she is lifted every night (pull ups were making her sore), and still regularly wets.

DS has been dry since about 2.3, and is now 2.8 and dry at night - no lifting required.

Can someone explain this lifting business?
Do you take them to the loo before you go to bed? Do they not wake up?

I think children are all different. My easy one...Ds2 was dry at day age 2 1/2 and soon after his night nappies were dry. When I put him to bed without a nappy I used those pampers bed mats for a while, he would wake up himself around 10ish for the loo but after a few months he didn't need to go until morning, he still has a drink of milk at night.
But my difficult one -dd who is almost 6 and is still soaking wet at night and I've tried lifting (she would wake slightly), cutting down fluids and nothing works so I just think for some reason it hasn't clicked with her yet.
