somewhere at the back of my mind i feel i've read/heard that little ones shouldn't get innoculations when their immune systems are struggling with a cough or cold. is this a total figment of my imagination?

If they have a high temperature no but otherwise yes.

It's ok as long as they don't have a temp. ds just had his and he'd had two stinking colds one after the other. He was fine. The jab didn't seem to affect him at all.

ah good, because if we have to postpone because of a cold,i can't see it getting done this side of easter - he seems to be getting one cold after another!

ds had a little cold with runny nose when he supposed to have mmr jab, so I phoned the clinic to cancel it and was told the nurse would tell me on arrival if it was safe or not, but I wasn't comfortable. Something told me not to do it at that time so he had it a few weeks late.
Think you have to go with your instinct, but think it's just if they have a temperature.
Having a jab a week late won't hurt though if your not happy
