DD has been nagging for ages re nail polish, I don't wear it,don't like it on little girls etc. However I suddenly realised it's not a lot different to her having her face painted so thought a bottle might find it's way in her Xmas stocking to be used under supervision for parties etc.

What do others think???

If I'm not flamed where can I buy kid friendly polish. A friend said you can buy polish that peels off. Is there such a thing as natural, hypoallergenic polish?

I'm aware I sound dreadfully precious but I'm used to boys!!!!!!!

we got a couple of girly sets from the supermarket last year e.g. Asda, tesco and the nail polish isnt long lasting at all. Boots also do a younger girls range in pale colours. DS (2) also likes some on if dd is getting some and I always let him. He also likes a go at my make up when I am putting it on in the morning - hope he grows out of it

My DD1 age 3 likes having her toe nails painted pink. She will sit really still and let me cut them and paint them. I just use my nail varnish as she only has small nails so a little bit won't hurt her. I don't put it on her finger nails though because she bites them and I am not sure swallowing nail varnish is good for you.

Nothing wrong with a bit of nail polish every now and again! My dd loves it; I just use my toxic stuff, and she lives to tell the tale.

My DD is 4 and has had her nails painted fairly regularly since she was old enough to know not to put her fingers in her mouth (although she only gets a limited choice of pale colours unless she's wearing fancy dress somewhere)! If you don't like it to look too obvious, get some of the stuff that's like iridescent glitter in a clear base. It looks v. girly and twinkly in the bottle, but you'd hardly notice it once it's on.

they love it, and nothing wrong with it IMO, enjoy
