No, but I am a SALT and love it.
Every day is great.
Where are you studying?

charliebabes · 16/11/2008 01:02

Hi Moondog!

Great to hear from you!

Im studying at Reading University, was my only option as the only one in my area that does the course.Needed to stay in the area as i have a little boy (17months)

So what area do you work in? and which client group?

Im enjoying the course so much, i love the mixture of medicine, linguistics and psychology (ok, so psych not so great, statistics is a drag!)

The course is pretty intense isnt it? How long have you been qualified??

FairLadyRantALot · 19/11/2008 22:33

Oh yes...I really heart my old speech and language therapist....without him I don't think I would have been able to do it....had speech/language probs due to bilateral cleft lip and palate

I hope I will be joining you in a couple of years charlie. I want to do a masters. Was looking at Reading or UCL. I would start tomorrow but have heard it is so practical and intense that I need to wait until DC3 is a bit older (2 at mo). How are you finding it with a 17 month old?

moondog · 19/11/2008 22:42

I work with people (kids and adults) with learning diffs. I'm interested in Autism and challenging behaviour and non verbal people/ I am also doing an MSc in ABA which is and has been fantastic for my job.

Did as post grad (had French/Linguistics degree) 15 years ago. Yes, it was hard work.
