mine is 17 months old and she doesn't like being changed. I think it's good thing. She probably wants to do it in private and it's normal to not like being changed. Definitely a control thing. If she goes to the same spot every time I might be tempted to put potty there (just to let them know the purpose of it, kind of pre potty training but not..). I'm sure wise mommies will come in soon.

from what i can recall from psychology and child development, its a stage they go through and relates to secrets and you should buy toys that hide things like little suitcases that fit inside each other or baboushka dolls etc. Well thats the science bit, can't give any help tho as i am a disatrous first time mum with a 9 mth old and totally clueless in practice!

Let DH go ahead and get her a potty and sit her on it when she goes over to poo (after telling her first, of course). You would be surprised (pleasantly so at not having to change pooy nappies anymore. )
