I have found a college which is doing the course I want to do and it starts at different times of the year and can be flexable on how many days per week you attend college which is great.

The only problem is there is no creche there, does anyone know a way that I can get free childcare while studying if I am doing a full time course?

Also I will have to travel for an hour to an hour and a half there and back everyday, has anyone else been in a similar situation? If so do you feel it worked ok with dc's? My dd is 15months and we spend nearly everyday together.

Any advice welcome.

My 2 are at nursery. My NHS bursary goes some way to paying for the cost but I suppose it depends on whether you are a single parent or on benefits as you may be able to claim some through working family tax credit I think.

if you are a single parent doing a degree i think you will probably find that your local authority will pay for 85% of your childcare. it will be paid through the student loans company in the form of a childcare grant.
you have to use official childcare ie registered childmnder, nursery etc.

I will not be doing a degree, it is a diploma I am interested in.
