minki yoyo goes up to age 7

easy peasy bumper might suit your DD depending on her weight

I would recommend you boost / stuff these too with a bamboo terry square or hemp prefolds or boosters (I prefer the softness of bamboo at night)

this link is what you need to read I think

these too two argh!

CatWithKittens · 15/10/2008 11:18

We use 75 and 78cm Terries and plastic pants and they work well, though we pad with an ordinary sized Terry for DS1 who will be 6 in a fortnight. That then lasts him all night if necessary and never get wet beds if I've tucked the nappy in properly so there's nothing sticking out of the legs or waist.

lovenappies · 15/10/2008 13:21

I also use the larger size Terries and plastic pants for DD1 who is almost 7.

Catwithkittens, do you fold the the smaller size Terry to make a pad?

bossykate · 15/10/2008 15:48

thank you very much for the further suggestions. more welcome!

Lovenappies, I just fold it in half and then fold over the top half of the result so that it ends up about 3/4 as long as it was but with four thicknesses where they are most needed if you see what I mean. I don't put it inside the larger nappy but put it directly in place on DS1 so I make sure that it is strategically placed for most absorption! He sleeps on his side a lot and I used to have difficulty finding an efffective fold. I have tried all sorts of folds for the larger nappy but now use a variant of the Jo fold for DS1 without doing the preliminary fold to the centre. I fold down the part that is going to be the back by about 10cm then just fold the nappy into thirds before fanning out the top. That seems to work very well and provide plenty of thickness at the side. I use a kite fold for DD1 as I have always done for her.

Catwithkittens, many thanks. Can I ask, does he wake up wet every morning. DD is always wet first thing.

I'm afraid so - we have had two dry nights so far, both of them when we were staying with Granny.

lovenappies · 17/10/2008 15:41

Catwithkittens it's the same with mine. We've had one dry night in the last 3 months. If I don't take DD1's nappy of first thing she has a habit of doing her morning poo in the nappy as well. Do you have this problem?

CatWithKittens · 20/10/2008 10:52

I'm pleased to say not - I think that would try my patience exceedingly at DS1's age. What happens when he is asleep and not able to control things is different - especially since MIL let out that DH was wet at night till late and when I know about the hormone which has to be working to give control.

nappyaddict · 20/10/2008 10:57

bossykate - have you been to bedwetting clinic? they are very good according to my friend. they gave her an alarm and pads to put on the bed and even told her about getting some money towards washing costs.

needaholiday · 20/10/2008 11:17

minki older child nappies are very good.

trockodile · 20/10/2008 13:38

I have 3 of these and 3 blue sheep minkis which I will sell if you want? (size 3-7 years)Bought new last year, only used for a couple of months. Say 30 pounds plus postage?

I have not yet sold any of my baby things as we are ttc, but even i realise that it is silly having virtually brand new nappies that cannot be used for at least 4 years! No pressure, let me know if you are interested.

trockodile · 20/10/2008 14:09

Not sure if I am allowed to put that actually. If not please ignore!

bossykate · 20/10/2008 14:43

yes am very interested! thanks will cat you
