any thoughts on the new tots bots - the flexitots ones?

We used fluffles and bamboozles with DS and really liked them but I see they've discontinued fluffles.

I need to buy some more size 1s for the new baby and wondered what the feedback was like on the new flexitots - are they any good? And does the drying time compare to fluffles? We don't have a tumble dryer - so drying is a big issue!

I don't know about flexitots but if you need a quick drying nappy, try bambinex teddies, they are similar to fluffles but a slightly slimmer fit. i also don't have a dryer and ds is in teddies they're fab!!

oo good tip thank you.

I was quite attracted by the flexitots because they have a bamboo core and were advertised as having the slimness of bamboo but the drying time of fluffles - sounds a bit too good to be true though!

fexi tots did not have a bamboo core last time I checked, they had a bamboo lining but the core was microfibre. They are advertised as quick drying but feedback has suggested they can take a lot longer than the bamboozles and cotton tots to dry.
Quick flips are good, as are the bambinex teddies, lollipop microfibre and little lambs microfibre nappies for quicker drying.

Geeesh no - don't believe the hype! They aren't quick drying or incredibly thin IMO - esp on a newborn. There is a lot of bulk between the legs on a littley too. Theres a pic on my profile...

Drying time is slightly longer than a bamboozle when I raced the two.

That said they are lovely and soft and very stretchy - I think you should try one if you liked the fluffle and bamboozle.

The lollipop microfibre nappy is called the softee - not to be confused with the polar fleece one which is called the micro - very confusing indeed! There are some 5 packs of the little lamb microfibre offering on ebay - slightly thinner than the fluffle but no fleece lining

Easy Peasy Bambeasies would be well worth a look - they are a fully fleece lined, thin fitting, quick drying bamboo nappy - far more like a bamboozle / fluffle hybrid than the flexitot.

Flexitot is great - a really good night time nappy if boosted, and fantastically soft.

But it does bunch up around the crotch. This can be a good thing on the basis that it gives the baby a bit of room...

I love flexi tots during the day, but i think i would need to add a hemp booster for night time. Mine take ages to dry though 2-3 days on an airer or at least a whole day on the line plus overnight on an airer

theyoungvisiter · 14/10/2008 10:41

wow - great responses, thank you. I love the idea of a "nappy race"

Will check otu the bambeasies, and impressed by the 2 votes for bambinex teddies so will have a look for them too.

It's all a bit complicated by the fact that we are getting a local authority voucher for the nappies which we have to spend all at once in a single place at an approved vendor - so no option to buy one here and there and see how it goes.

So it might be a case of what we can find stocked on the local authority list - v complicated!

I like them for the night as pockets for me through the day - they are slim for a night nappy but not quick drying.
