Best reusable for a toddler?

I've used pre-folds with DS since birth and generally been very pleased with them, however recently (he's 1 next week!) they've started to leak. I think it's partly because he's a heavy wetter but mostly now that he's trying to walk all the time, the pad is getting rucked up between his legs so he's weeing directly onto the wrap. It's also getting more challenging getting them onto him as he kicks so much during nappy changes.

So, I'm thinking it's time for some new nappies! I'm considering all-in-ones as they'd be easiest to get on, plus he's starting nursery soon and they'd probably be simplest to use there, but I got a couple of really cheap all-in-ones from Boots that I don't like at all - too bulky and leaky. Are other all-in-ones better? Or any other suggestions?

If you want all in ones then be aware that if they fit then they work really well but if they are slightly the wrong size they can leak. Best we found were two part nappy and wraps, quick flips and nappyelite wraps. The nappies are absorbent and easy to use, best fit with a nippa, and the wraps are really reliable and available in loads of patterns and colourways from here

though everyone will have their favourites which work for them, we found these most reliable over a range of baby shapes.

What about trying a pocket nappy like bumgenius or wonderoos? I have no experience of all in ones but have a few pockets and find them very good with a wriggly 16 month old.
