He's just turned 8.

Went to the shop staight after I'd picked him up from school, as we got back to our gate he said

"when we get in I need a piss"

I turned round and looked at him as I was certain I must have misheard him.....he looked at me slightly sheepishly and then said

"when we get in I need a pee"

need a piss omg - what happened to him? He's losing his innocence isn't he? And it's only going to get worse now he's started at junior school as he'll be mixing more with older children.

Dont worry...my dd (age 4) told me she had done 'a great big crap' at my CM house today.

Think DH and I need to watch our language more.

FAQ · 30/09/2008 15:54

he doesn't get it from me or exH - neither of us say that - he's obviously picked it up from school arghhh

I'm so very proud and so should you be. Piss is a...delightful word.

Ah, how they grow up well quickly.

FAQ · 30/09/2008 16:20

oh I hate the word - hence it's never used in the house - I think he realised that as soon as I turned round and looked at him - which is why he rephrased it asap

My DS's were playing in the garden yesterday and I was spying on them out of the window. DS1 (9) knocked something off the washing like which fell into a mushy bit of mud and I heard him say:

"shit, help me get this back up before mum see's it or she'll have a fit".

He sounded about 14 [cries]

ladymariner · 30/09/2008 18:36

It happens, it's depressing but they all do it. It's something thet hear at school from the older ones and they want to try it out. As soon as they know you've heard them and you're not impressed they usually stop.

Or at least don't let you hear them!!

FAQ · 30/09/2008 18:47

that sounds about right lm (your last statement) the way he came out with it was like it was something he says frequently, but the manner in wwhich he "corrected" himself was like a boy who knew he I didn't want to hear it

Never thought I'd say this, but I'm a bit sad that DD (6yo) has decided that she's "too old" for Bratz .

anyfucker · 30/09/2008 19:16

my 8 yr old ds went in a cafe toilet this weekend

he came out and said "mum, they have sickbags in that bog!"

bog ?!?!

I also think he meant sanitary towel disposal bags. He still has a little bit of naivety left then! Phew!

ladymariner · 30/09/2008 19:24

my ds told me last night whilst in a strop about his drama homework (drama homework!!!????????????) that he was really "pissed off" with it! He's 13 next week, by the way, but I was still not happy about him saying that and he did apologise, and change what he said.

After he'd gone off, dh and me looked at each other and we agreed that "pissed off" just about covered drama homework!!

forevercleaning · 30/09/2008 19:38

Heard my DS (12) bash his toe against the back door today when he was in the garden, and he said FFS

Needless to say he is in his room as we speak tucked into bed until tommo.

I have to say, he has learned that from me, I mutter it all the time

JuneBugJen · 30/09/2008 19:40

Also have heard dd say 'kinell' when an accident happens.

Oh dear.

Plonker · 30/09/2008 19:48

My (then) 4 yr old alarmingly said to me in the car "please be quick mummy, i'm desperate for a piss"

I was really and very very

"pardon?" I said to her angrily

"a psssssssss mummy" she said to me ...."i'm desperate for a psssssssss"

She was making the noise!!
