Accidents at playgroup and another question!

DD2 will be 3 in 2 weeks has been trained for about 6 weeks, mostly reliable has an accident about every other day. Mostly they happen at playgroup and this morning twice, I feel a bit embarrassed and bad about this that they are having to deal with this even tho they haven't said anything negative. I take her to the toilet as soon as we arrive there and this helps sometimes. SHould I be concerned, one of the workers mentioned that she would try and take her to the loo regularly, is this all part of their job and am I stressing over nothing?

The other think is that since being trained and having the occassional accident her legs have got a rash on them, excema in parts - I'm wondering if her skin is irritated when she wees in her trousers and down her legs.

I have also repeatedly told her to tell someone when she needs the loo, and she has done that but not consistently, I dont think it's a laziness issue - I shouldn't put her back in nappies - shouldI?

She's still getting the hang of it, isn't she?

I wouldn't go back to nappies, I don't think, at nearly 3 (if she's not wetting constantly)

Re playgroup, am sure they don't mind clearing up the odd accident, part of the job surely? And maybe you could mention to them to remind her when she is there!

DD1's nursery were never remotely bothered (it seemed to me, anyway!) by dc wetting themselves

No don't put her back in nappies - and don't worry about the playgroup having to deal with her if they do have accidents - I'm sure its part of the job for them.

She is still young to remember to ask to go to the toilet all the time, especially when engrossed in the exciting activities at playgroup.

The urine could be irritating her skin so maybe ask them to make sure they wash her legs if necessary.

Maybe she has a urine infection if she can't tell when she needs the toilet?
