9mo wetting through Size 3 Nappies ... Help!

My ds is 9 months old now, a big lad (about 26lbs) and feeding 2/3 times a night at the mo. Subsequently he's wetting through his Size 3 Tots Bots Bamboozles (with an additional booster)!!

What on earth can I put on him at night???? Fed up with wet babygro and grobag in the mornings, not to mention the smell...

Anyone else got/had the same problem and overcome it, without them having a bottom three times the size it's supposed to be ??

She does start the night in a grobag in her cot, but coes in with us at some point every night. Have given up checking the time!

Washersaurus I have been tempted to use fleece wraps, but having used crap wraps (not fleece) that leak through the fabric, it puts me off. Plus my son wears a poppered vest, plus babygros/pyjamas (12 -18 month size, that FIT!) and a grobag. I'd have to put him in size 1.5 - 2 yrs to get loose ones lol!!

He probably doesn't need a vest on with that lot anyway (unless your house is really cold) - DS2 just wears his pj's in a 1-1.5 tog sleeping bag with a sheet tucked in over the top if necessary. All the padding in the nappy and the fleece wrap helps add warmth I reckon

The fleece wraps don't leak because they are breathable so the moisture evaporates, unlike the PUL wraps which will just fill with moisture and leak once the nappy is sodden.

PJ's don't have to loose - DS2 wears snug pj's in his size over his fleece wrap - you just have to be careful not to position the waist elastic over the top of the wrap incase it pushes down on the wrap & nappy causing wicking IYSWIM. Sleepsuits obviously don't have the same problem.

You should give fleece wraps a try before dismissing them; I know it is a big mental step - I can remember umming and ahhing about them myself, but since trying fleece we have never gone back to PUL wraps overnight.

Our bedroom is a flat roof extension and I have the window open all night so its freeeeezzziiinnnnnngggg! So he does need all that on lol!

Do you have any fleece wraps for sale then washersaurus, I love my nappies so much I'll try anything new , if not I might put up a Wanted and see what's out there, I like the idea of the moisture evaporating! Is it true also, that you don't need to wash them every day? Just leave them to 'breathe' during the day?

Sorry, my wraps are still in use on 2 boys and are fairly well worn now anyway, as you can imagine .

I wash them every day because the smell of wee in the morning is a bit overpowering, they are almost dry when they come out of the washing machine though, so only need to have a couple in rotation.

The Tots bots red wraps are the best as they are 2 layers of fleece - IIRC the spotty and rainbow stripe ones are just one layer, but we use these too. I put both my 3yo and 14mo in the size 3 wraps now, but DS2 can still just about squeeze into a size 2 wrap with a boosted night nappy on if needs be!
