books with ideas of things to do with toddlers

I love hearing and getting new ideas of things to do with my kids, so would love a recommendation of a good broad book of activities to do with toddlers (he's 2, but something covering 1 to 3 or 5 ish would be great).

It may well be full of things I should have thought of myself, but I don't always manage to think of things myself!

I've got a book called 'things to do with toddlers and two's'. Think I got it on Amazon. Its not bad - covers a wide range of topics and lots to do.

Do you want a bit more info about it? Can dig it out if you like. . ?

?!?! why is it so expensive? Its only a small book. Its gd but not that gd! Def didn't pay that much for it.

Last year we paid £4.99 in ASDA for a book called 1001 days out with your kids. It is an annually updated guide to Britains family attractions. It also has information on historic buildings, wildlife parks, museums, boat and canal trips, gardens, craft centres and theme parks so you can see its not just aimed at toddlers.

we have used it a few times when looking for things to do with our dd (also 2). We have been to plenty of train polaces and animal places as she loves both those things. We can also use it when she is older. we used it when we went on holiday as it is spilt into regions and type of attractions throughout England, Wales and Scotland.

You could try the Toddler's Busy Book (covers 1.5-3) and the preschoolers Busy Book (I think 3-5). Lots of things to do with clothes pegs, sorting stuff, pretty much day to day stuff - most of which they would enjoy and doesn't cost anything. I got mine on Amazon but am rubbish at links.

I've got a book called Toddler Play, its a Gymboree book, that tells you things to do with toddlers (indoor type things). Basic stuff but for me it reminds me of all the simple things I can do that I've forgotten about!! It's £10.49 on amazon but I can get it in Trago Mills (new) for £3 so could buy one for you if you wanted, wouldn't have thought postage would be much.

Trago Mills is a fab shop, but there is only three I think in the U.K. I used to live about 3 miles from one and it was great but now I'm more than 450 miles away from that one LOL

No problem SF, have just CAT'd you, will dig mine out tommorrow (in sleeping dd's room atm) and work out postage. Trago Mills is your typical 'pile it high, sell it cheap' place - 'customer service' is a swear word, the 'assistants' act like morons, refunds and complaints are non existant but boy is it cheap!!! There's only 3 though and they're all in Cornwall. They keep trying to branch out but the owner is a prat so nobody will give him permission!!

I would try 'The toddlers busy book, by Tris Kuffner' which I have used a few times. Its activities use everyday items around your house to create fun 'arty' activities for your toddler.
It worked for my little boy.

we have the Usborne Big book of things to do' and I'm bored' by Suzy Barratt and Polly Beard. Usborne one is mainly crafty type things and cookery, I'm Bored is ideas for games to play in different situations (e.g. rainy day, on a long car journey etc). Lots of the things in both books are probably a bit old for him yet but some are OK for a 2 yo.
