Poor DD is feeling so left out and not sure what to do for her

My DD1(3.9) and DS(5) are very good friends with our neighbour's children - a boy of six, girl of 4.5 and another girl of 4. They are always in and out of each others houses and gardens and spent the last term of playgroup together(apart from 6yo who is already at school) and all the summer holidays.

Now DS and the other girls have started school and poor DD has been left at playgroup. Noticed a change in her behaviour when school started but all came to a head today when she point blank refused to go to playgroup. It wasn't just an angry tantrum she was really upset because she wanted to go to school with the others.

Not sure what I can do to make it better for her? Any suggestions gratefully received.

So sorry for your little one, can the older kids still play with her after school and involve her? Can you involve a like minded playschooler to come and play with her ,and maybe go to playschool with her, in the same way the others go off together?
Shes obviously feeling the loss after such a great summer,give her a little time and she will get involved in autumn things at playschool.

Reassure her that her friends are still there, and that they can still play together outside school time.
Does she have many friends at the playgroup? DD never really took to playschool and seemed to find the other children a nuisance, although she played nicely with our neighbouring children at other times. We stopped insisting on it eventually. She is okay at school now.
