How many times a day does your 9mo poo???? My DS poos around 5 times a day, yes, FIVE! And they are not insubstantial - infact my DH said that he'd be proud of them if they were his! THIS IS NOT NORMAL IS IT????? And when will it stop?? Am I doomed to dealing with this indefatigable engine of pollution for the next two years?

Poo spoon wasn't so funny when found my beloved cleaner putting in back into the drawer with the other wooden spoons!!!

Dry pail - always dry pail. Wet pailing is an evil invention put about by those evil sods at J&J to get us out of reuseables I reckon.

I AM FAMOUS!!!! Or at least my poo-spoon is. It is sadly deceased - used as kindling one day.

You had marked it though hadn't you broguemum ...I would have burnt ALL the wooden spoons just in case if not

RIP poo spoon

broguemum · 31/08/2008 22:00

We, as in DD and I, marked it by painting the handle brown... However shortly thereafter i was converted to dry pailing - I saw the light!!! And so poo-sppon, may he rest in peace, bit the dust.

Oh god, I need a wee too much to be reading about poo spoons and cutlery drawers .

I dry pail but I'm not convinced all the poo will come out and I really don't want to find lumps in the machine .

Olihan · 31/08/2008 22:01

Oh and the handle was brown...

My pelvic doors are in serious danger here.

broguemum · 31/08/2008 22:04

Ha ha!!! Just wait until you find the one that didn't get shaken out down the loo just lurking there in your machine... It will slowly spin around the glass of your machine just gloating...

Actually LumpsInTheMachine is another good nickname .

Olihan, if you are worried just do a prewash or rinse cycle before the main wash. Honestly, my nappies are all lovely and clean when they come out.

broguemum · 31/08/2008 22:08

Shake off what you can
Dry pail using net bags NB don't pack bag too full
Cold rinse NB don't pack machine too full!!!!
Normal wash (I use soap nuts and incy amounts of ecover)
Line dry and tumble to fluff 'em up every so often

Now, when you say 'shake off what you can', that implies some of it will come off.

You clearly haven't see the stickiness of ds2's poo.

It is something else entirely. I could market it as super strength glue.

I will try your way though

(Do you promise there are no lumps? And they don't still smell?)

broguemum · 01/09/2008 15:22

Ah the amazing adhesive super glue poo. Yep, been there, seen it and dealt with it. It was vile. It was so sticky that NASA could use it to stick tiles to the underside of the shuttle. Those on board might complain though.

Hope dry pailing works out and you can get rid of the foul wet ones .
