Advice needed on wriggly baby!

The reason why I wake up 10 times a night with my 10 week old is not because he wants a feed but because he wriggles his way to the side of the cot and squashes himself against the sides and cries to be freed. He got his leg stuck through the bars again last night. Has anyone got any ideas how to keep him in the middle? I have tried grobags and they don't make any difference as he wriggles just as much. Already got bumpers and he finds the one gap which is where his leg gets caught. I was even thinking of threading a buggy harness through his sheepskin he sleeps on and strapping him in or will that mean someone will call social services? Please help a very tired woman!

I put dd into her carry-cot inside the big cot until she was too big for it - by which time she could free herself when she got herself caught against the sides.

A buggy harness is NOT a good idea, safety-wise ... but I'm sure you know that already, really.

Someone I know had a grobag type thing but it was connected to the fitted cot seet so they couldn't wriggle. I have no idea of its name but we are in NZ which might give you a start.

My son was always a fidget and still is. He was able to get his arms out of swaddling hours after he was born!

We ended up having to give up on blankets and sheets and use grobag sleeping bags for him instead. A rolled up blanket on either side of the crib worked like cot bumpers and stopped him getting his arms out through the bars.

safer than a harness that could get tangled round you LO
