What is a 'Boden wearing type' exactly?

I see this all the time on MN. What kind of a lady does it describe?

And what kind of clothes are they?
I've have no idea, by the way, which is why I'm asking!

Much too girly for me !!

They are likely to ride a bike with a basket on the front.
They will dress their girls in stripey tights, spotty welly boots and fairy wings for a day at the beach.

They will insist their son grows his hair dead long.

They will have a brown labrador which their dh will walk on a Sunday, wearing a stripey scarf round his neck, over a V neck jumper. (The dh, not the dog)

They will wear an apron whilst cooking, probably with roses on it.

They will holiday in Cornwall, and may own/rent a beach hut.

You know what? This kind of attitude p*sses me right off! Yes, ladies, I know you are having a bit of fun but its so judgmental - imagining that you can make huge assumptions about me and my family based on where we buy our clothes. Can just magine the uproar if I started posting gross generalisations about people who buy their clothes from Tesco or M & S (for example!)?

I buy my kids clothes from Boden and occasionally something for me. The boys clothes are great and last forever and are something a bit different from the general crap out there on the high street. And yes, my boys have long hair. But I don't own a f*cking chocolate lab or holiday in Cornwall and my DH would rather stick pins in his eyes than wear Boden menswear!

And no, Gateau, I am not in the least competitive.

Am I a Boden type?

I have an aga, a retriever, chickens, we holiday in Norfolk and I have been known to wear an apron.

But on the other hand...

I grew up on a council estate, have a tattoo, am a bit of a gadget geek, and have a habit of getting trashed on white wine and dancing round my kitchen to the Wonderstuff. I also buy clothes from Topshop and New Look.

I suppose some people would look at me and think, Boden Mummy. On the other hand, some people would look at me and think, chav.

I am a Boden target customer I imagine, and have occasionally bought a few things.

My sons do have long hair.
I am also drawn to (but try to resist) cath kidson homeware.
I own more laura ahley homeware than I should.
I would describe myself as middle class.
I have a big kitchen with a big communal family kitchen table (essemtail for type).
I own Nigella, jamie and Rick's cookbooks which I display on open shleves in my lovely kitchen.

I am now slioghly embarassed.

BUT I do not holiday in Cornwall
Don't have a chocolate lab
and don't have flowery wellies

I alos buy more in NEW Look than in Boden.
and am not competitive in any way shape or form.
