Are little boys more disgusting than little girls?

My dd(6) was sitting at the table last night when ds(3) slipped on the same chair but behind her. He was wearing his underpants and nothing more.....
A few moments later dd protested 'Mum I can smell poo'.
Ds was then caught in the act of putting his finger up his bottom and rubbing it all over his sister's back, it was also all over his tummy.
'I'm making patterns' was his only defence.
When does this sort of thing stop? Dd never did it, just saying poo is exciting enough for her....

had a thought later that the smell of cow manure still reminds me of home, I grew up on a dairy farm

cow shit = love

clearly fondness for poo can linger

I was helping ds get changed on the beach (*)

I said, 'Dear God, when you you last change these pants?'

and he said, 'Oh 4-5 days ago'

Today, for no reason whatsoever, he threw himself down a muddy slope? WTF??? Why?

He is very lovely tho!

That sounds like fun though Martianbishop (throwing himself down a muddy slop).

My son can be cleanliness himself (he fell and his hands got dirty, and I told him to just wipe them on his trousers and he said he did not want dirty trousers, but he felt it was okay to wipe them on my trousers) and other times he is the first one out there in the rain and mud throwing himself around having a great time.

I would rather have a son that has fun and does not worry about getting dirty, than one that does worry about how dirty he might get doing this, that or the next thing and thereby might miss out on great experiences (how every small or big they might be).
