Anyone tried a Tangle teezer?

Brushing DD1s long,thick, curly hair is a bit of a nightmare...saw this on Dragons Den and thought might be good...
Anyone tried it?

not tried it, but am very tempted to give it a go, dd1 always gets up with her hair in a dreadful mess, and brushing is such trauma

we use it on my daughter's hair - brushing is still a trauma but it's definitely better than any other brush we've tried. It looks a bit like a dog brush!

yup, great, second the dog brush thing. am sure that's where they got the idea.

We just got one last week as my oldest has really thick wavy hair that gets in horrendous tangles. I think it's pretty damn good, it definitely goes through without pulling her head off !

Yup - we've got one for dsd's curly mop - its still not the most fun job to do, but it does help. I think it was developed for grooming horses initially

we've got one too for DD1 (5yrs) and it's much easier to brush her hair now, and she can use it herself easily too

Ooh, looks interesting. DD is always telling me 'don't comb ME' (rather than not coming her HAIR), so I already feel like I'm grooming a dog or a horse.

I also use it on my hair & my DD's hair. Not perfect but a vast improvement.

Thanks for the feedback... did read the reviews but a lot of sounded like they might have been written by the guy who developed it or his friends.
Guess I'll give it a go ..and let you know how I get on.

Ok...so I've got one and have given it a good try out.
DD1 is being awkward (as usual) and says it hurts and whinges everytime I put it anywhere near her
Used to use a Mason Pearson (soft bristles for the big tangles), then a Denman (hard bristles) and sometimes even a comb - to get rid of all the knots...and it has been know to take 20+ mins...
Have managed to do a few sneaky swaps and the TT does work quite well ..not brilliant but I think at least as good as the Mason Pearson..do still need to go through it with a Denman/comb -but there seems to be less knots...and improving with use.
Works really well on wet hair with conditioner.
So for about £10 I think its worth it (I've had my Mason Pearson for about 20 years but think they are about £40 now)
DP (genes responsible for DD1's nightmare hair) also thinks it is good.
Now just need to get DD1 to stop being difficult and start using it and maybe she could do her own hair...
