.....................and it is nothing to do with hormones and raising them.

it is all to do with how they learn to walk and crawl and just get about in general.

my boys are never bruise free.......I can do a dot-to-dot puzzle on their legs right now with all the bruises from bike riding/scooting/skating/footy etc.

and DS2 currently sports a very fine egg on his head from walking into a lamp-post (of all things).....

he has never in fact been free of forehead bruises, and I often wonder what would show if he had a skull x-ray what with all the bumps while learning to crawl and walk and his brother dropping a brick on his head from a 6ft wall!!!!

and yet my girls rarely sport bruises, and certainly never of they same caliber (sp??).

sooooooooo

I now have decided that the difference is caused by the damage the bruises cause to their bodies and nothing at all to do with how they have been raised or made.

My dd always has a multitude of bruises so I refute your theory lol

VeniVidiVickiQV · 26/07/2008 22:19

So, ultimately, you are saying that men are they way they are because they've had one too many bumps to the head?

Dd has always been a mass of bruises. And cuts, scabs, bumps and scars.

Oh my lord, she's a man in the wrong body!

You haven't met my daughter Psychomum ... nothing girly and dainty about her apart from the fact she likes the colour pink.
she refuses to wear dresses or skirts (unless she can wear jeans at the same time) and refuses anything in her hair so her hair is always in her face. She's covered in bruised and bumps and she's just wicked

PinkTulips · 27/07/2008 00:50

well my dd is equally as black and blue as my ds (and they're both bruised to the pount where i'd be worried about bringing them to the a&e in case questions were asked!)

does that mean she's going to be a butch lesbian type then? or a transexual?

thumbwitch · 27/07/2008 00:51

Sorry, psycho - my best friend's sister was the most accident-prone person I've ever met - always covered in bumps/bruises/burns/ whatever. My mum said she was a nightmare to babysit as she could fall over a speck of dust. She would walk under the piano keyboard and bump her head on every step and never think to duck or move out!

Having said that, my bro did fall out of the top bunkbed on his head when he was 3 or 4 and he is a total git now so that might be related?

S1ur · 27/07/2008 00:52

My dd insists on dresses to climb trees. She's just showing of her bruises I think. Ds has clumsey bruises where dd has consequence bruises. Does that help theory?

thumbwitch · 27/07/2008 00:52

best friend's sister has 2 DDs and a DP so nothing transgender or butch about her - her eyebrows are still a bit sparse, mind...
