UV suits - are they necessary?

We're off to Spain at the end of August.

Do you think we need UV suits for DS (3) and DD (1) or will good sun lotion do?

Where can I get some UV suits that aren't stupid money, please?

Sorry, not read all responses, only OP message. We went to Corfu beginning of June, and relied on Sun block and T-shirts. My little ones didnt burn once (although I do understand that any exposure to the sun, and any suntan, is considered 'burn')

I did think about the suits, but chose the alternative option.

Both my children are very pale and we have used them (and still do) since they were babies. We have the second skin and another brand from Australia (bought them in South Africa, or get them sent over by dh's relatives who live there). We cunningly bought brightly coloured unisex styles so dd wore them then passed onto neice, back to ds and then to nephew. So split the cost of them with my sister. Dd is 6 and ds is 3 and both are still happy to wear them. DD says it is more comfortable than the swimsuit she wears for her (indoor) swimming lesson, no itchy/fiddly straps, cool, lightweight etc. Although this summer she wants a bikini
