SAD question but just out of interest, how often would you change a 4 yr old boy's sheets? They just never seem to smell and I'm sure I let them go too long!

Also how often do you wash tea towels? I try not to use too many paper towells but I get through about two tea towels a day and put them straight in the wash.

Also how often do you clean the house????
I had a big clean yesterday and am so bad at cleaning I suddenly thought - how/when do other people do it?

My neighbour has a perfect house and works, but she told me once she gets up an hour before family to get ready for the day and generally races around all them time cleaning, organising, cooking, tidying etc She said once that she only has time to herself when she goes to bed....

I need at least three hours in front of the tv a night to feel sane! Love to hear your household tips.

Change bedding every 2weeks max in winter and atleast once a week in Summer as we live in Cyprus , I do all beds at the same time. (Get done sooner if needed)

I do atleast 2-3 loads of washing per day. (more in summer due to towels and swim wear etc.)

Kitchen done when we use it. All chopping boards etc are bleached after each use.

Main Bathroom and Showeroom are cleaned thoroughly 2 times a week, but bath washed after every use, and shower sprayed after every use. Both toilets bleached every night.
I mop my kitchen floor atleast once a day, then when I can be bothered I scrubb it with a scrubbing brush to get into the grouting etc.

Hoover as and when needed normally everyother day down and 1 week upstairs.
WE have to dust everyother day as it is really bad out here.
Toys tidied away every night once kids have gone to bed ( DD 8yrs DS8months) High chair sprayed with Dettol and cleaned every use then atleast once a week taken apart for a thorough cleaning.

I have to admit though I have a ironing lady who comes once a week and I also get her to do my windows as I have 4 patio doors and hate cleaning windows.

Slobetta, I ment to say when doing a thorough clean (once a week)I just stay in my jamas until I am done then I go and relax in the bath with a book.(which I do every night aswell!!) I think its all down to organisation and routine, I am a very routine person and try keep the kids to this also, DH is the hardest part!!!!. To be honest now everything is kept on top off I can do the whole house (3bedrooms, living /diner kitchen, two toilets, bathroom, showerroom) in about 3 hours ( thats if DD has put her toys etc away!!.

Change children's bedding (3.11 and 0.9) fortnightly and also ours the opposite fortnight with DD's sleeping bag going in every week. Thats on a Friday.

Tea towel is changed twice a week along with towels (Weds and Sun). But we have a dishwasher.

Clean house once a week. So Sunday night job is to make sure it is tidy. Then quickly clean DS and DDs rooms before they get messed up on Monday morning. And do rest of upstairs. Normally finished by 9.45 am when DD is ready for her snack and then nap. Clean downstairs Monday evening with DH once kids are in bed.

I work Tues-Thurs. I also watch hardly any TV. If I didn't have routines nothing would get done. Ought to hoover downstairs (only the living room) more often. Might start doing in on a Thursday....
