How much telly are yours watching, and when? Also, what age are they?
Mine are still a bit little at 0.7 and 2.11, although DD1 is getting a telly tubbies habit and a night garden thing. More recently, with her liking for NEE-NARS (i.e. fire engines), I decided to try her on some Fireman Sam - which she does seem to be into. Although mainly only the bits that go NEE-NAR. She did however get really upset at the episode where a cat gets caught up in some barbed wire.
Anyway, the point is also that she tends to wander off during these DVDs.
As we haven't yet got a telly in the living room, and rely on the portable in our bedroom for the TV fix, the kids maybe don't get to watch it as much as they might if we had a biggie downstairs. shrugs
Anyway, with that in mind, I'd probably say DD1 watches less than 3 hours a week at the moment. I'm ambivalent about telly generally, on the one hand I don't really like all the shitty adverts for crappy toys. On the other hand I do have good memories of enjoying telly when I was little (a long, LONG time ago!).
This topic must've been done to death, I know - but indulge me anyway, if you're bored.
