BIODEGRADABLE LINERS FOR BUMGENIUS V3.

I'm taking the advice of a few mums who say in the early days, it's good to have liners as the breast fed baby poo tends to be a bit gloopy. Can anyone recommend any that I can buy cheaply online?

I'm just using fleece liners - I made them myself by cutting up a polyester fleece blanket, but you can buy them.

I'm using bumgenius and find that the bf poo is more than gloopy - it pretty much soaks straight in without needing a liner. Cold rinse in machine before wash and it's gone! Tried a liner once and it jut wrinkled up.

That didn't really answer your q - sorry!

I've heard the opposite.

My DS is 5 weeks old and completely BF, we haven't used any liners with any of the different nappies he has used. It all washes off in the machine easily and any stains easily sun out.

When mine were weaned we moved over to fleece liners (unless we were going through a teething phase when we would switch to flushable ones). Fleece was great as it kept their bottoms dry and was much cheaper than flushable liners - we made our own fleece liners too.

The bf poo does just soak in , and washes off pretty easily. I use the fleece to keep the bum dry more than anything.

Like isaidno, I'm using fleece liners with Bumgenius as well for my 13 week old. I got them from twinkleontheweb.co.uk and they're nicely shaped - thinner between legs, wider for back than front.

They're much softer than the flushable paper ones which seem really stiff and are also too big for the width/length of the nappies so need folding etc. They're less hassle as well because they just go into the nappy bin with the nappy rather than having to be separated out and flushed.

I just bung everything in the machine on a cold rinse then wash on 40 or 60 depending on how bad the poo is. The sun takes care of any stains that remain on both the fleece and the nappies

The remaining clean bits of the fleece liner also useful for wiping poo off bum when changing nappies as well.
