My ds1 is three and a half, and there has only been about three nights that I havnt been in to his room, before I go to bed, to kiss him and check hes ok.
Will I still be doing it when hes a strapping teenager??

I would like to do this but my DD is a super light sleeper and wakes up when I open the door and then yells for two hours so I gave up on the idea pretty sharpish .

Love the tradition in witchandchips' mum's house.

I take a sneaky look at them sleeping before I go to bed myself. But I don't kiss them when they are asleep, unless I need to wake them.

I don't think my parents ever kissed me when I was asleep but my Dad stopped checking on me at nighttime when I started having boyfriends to stay over.

I feel that we wil forever have good night kisses, but I can see that they may end up being as you go up to bed rather than me going to tuck them in.

My big boy ( 16 ) doesn't get a kiss goodnight, probably because I go to bed before him, but will often hug or ruffle his hair on my way out of the room!

But my younger boys ( 8 and nearly 2 ) always get a kiss goodnight in their sleep.

Last night I heard dh telling ds (aged 8 ) what a fantastic boy he is and how much he loves him........ lovely!
