best nappies for baby boy?

hi,

i have a 5 week old son.

with DS1 we always bought the cheapest nappies but with DS2 we have "leakage problems" with the nappies we tried with him. literally after every poo, particularly if we don't change it straight away - and i mean straight away...

i know every child has adifferent body/bum shape, but - in your personal experience - what brands (expensive or not) do reliable nappies?

thank you.

I have used pampers baby dry/active fit and tescos own make. When ds was small I used the huggies newborn as well as pampers but dont like the huggies nappies for older babies.

I have a 5 week old son too

Are you using cloth or disposables?

We are using cloth during the day and disposables at night atm - we have leakage problems with the diposables (tried pampers, huggies and morrisons and boots own) so I have been putting a wrap over the top to stop that. I think we may have had fewer leaks with huggies but there hasn't been much in it tbh.

Cloth-wise we haven't had any leaks when we have used airflow wraps over any suitable nappy - he is using a wide variety of cloth nappies with sandy's being the best fit for him atm. DD2 uses airflow wraps too - despite DS and DD2 being the very opposite shape they work well for both of them.

i use disposables. a friend of mine had cloth nappies, and they were pretty uneffective... the amount she had to use made me think it might be better to use disposables, as i believe i'd use less energy when changing disposables only after a poo (so about 4 or 5) instead of twice the amount of cloth nappies and then washing them...

You have to change them whatever they wear tbh - and instead of putting them in the bin, you put them in the nappy bi and then wash every couple of days.

No advise on disps I'm afraid - they are super leaky and filthy, minging evil landfillers

Tesco's own were good with DS when really little then used Pampers, until discovered Aldi's own which are great and loads cheaper
