LadyPercy, don't take it personally. I assume you posted this in a lighthearted fashion.

Perhaps a wig? lol

expatinscotland · 01/07/2008 20:27

I got this free sample of John Frieda shampoo and conditioner for blondy hair.

Was tempted to use it on DD1, but DH vetoed me.

Monkeytrousers · 01/07/2008 21:03

Hmm, half joking - I think MrsFederer

Ohh, that's a good idea Expat - if only I could get the childin the bath to start with

Expat - I had some of that, and used it on DD, who's getting progressively less blonde too. But it didn't have a very noticeable effect.

Monkeytrousers · 01/07/2008 21:11

I saw a baby on TV breastfeeding the other day and doing that eye contact thing and moaning in milky pleasure...ohhh

Monkeytrousers · 01/07/2008 21:15

oh Liath - how cute! I have DS's rolled up in a tissue somewhere, harvested from the barbers floor. You can imagine what he thought of me

cheesesarnie · 01/07/2008 21:23

i read that only 3% of population are actually real blonde.that cant be right can it??????

get him a wig.

QueenyEisGotTheBall · 01/07/2008 21:25

ever thought of nice and easy 101?? sun in would go a ghastly shade of orange[smle] my DD is a dirty blonde and has gorgeous blonde highlights in the sun
i am often of her lovely colour compared to my bottle brown...
xx ei xx

expatinscotland · 01/07/2008 21:26

it's SO darn cloudy here! she did start to go goldy when we got that sunny week.

but then it went back to wet and dark skies and that went down the pan.

Heated · 01/07/2008 21:28

I love my changeling child's blonde locks, no idea where they're from but it'll fade. Pass the lemon juice

pointydog · 01/07/2008 21:36

bleached hair is very in for boys at the mo. No pansy highlights, give him a strong badgeresque bleached streak and be done with it.

morningpaper · 01/07/2008 21:38

lol I have been tempted with my dds

They look so CUTE all sun-kissed

expatinscotland · 01/07/2008 22:02

Punches the air!

I'm going to show this thread to DH.

He thought I must be the only one tempted to speed up the natural process in DD1.

He was wrong.

Monkeytrousers · 01/07/2008 23:01

So wrong!

Heated, that has given me an idea..pass the inky black rinse! In for a penny

WendyWeber · 01/07/2008 23:11

Oh, it will come straight back once he's been in the sun a bit - DS2 is 15 and a boring dull mouse in the winter but still gets lovely blond highlights after a few days in the sun

Tinkjon · 02/07/2008 14:11

I'm the other way around - we should swap ds's My ds's hair was jet black when born but is getting really light now and I miss his black hair - it's not that there is anything wrong with either colour hair, it's just that the change is a reminder that you've lost your tiny newborn and he's growing and changing already! Mind you, mine's such a complete nightmare that I'm more than ready for his baby stage to be over with

schneebly · 02/07/2008 14:19

I know someone who used this on her 4 year old DD - I remember being a little shocked at the time. It did turn out nice though

AuntieSocial · 02/07/2008 14:24

Was this a troll/joke in the end?

hunkermunker · 02/07/2008 14:25

This is the right thread for this link

Monkeytrousers · 02/07/2008 19:56

I am not a troll AS!

silvermum · 02/07/2008 20:39

lady percy, your post made me laugh . i've been secretly using DSs moisturiser to gel his hair back a bit - he's only 11 months! personally i wouldn't dream of putting sun in into those little locks but am amused at the thought. tell me, do you feed him organic food? if so, surely you can't contemplate spraying his head with a load of chemicals?!

BagelBird · 02/07/2008 20:45

Wow! This thread has been a big let down
I was expecting a HUGE mega indignation reactionary response with at least 500+ messages slating Lady Percy.
Just shows, you can never truly predict what way these things will go.

lou33 · 02/07/2008 20:46

not all blondies darken

my four are 16,11,9 and 7 and all v v fair still

schneebly · 02/07/2008 22:39

I am still fairly blonde and am 28.

LynetteScavo · 02/07/2008 22:48

What is so terrible about sun-in?

Genuine question - I'm dark and have one blue eyed blondie who is starting to darken now he's four. I joked to someone abut using sun-in on him and they were
