funny how different my girls are!

I have just set up my girls huge dollshouse and left them playing with it, standing where i could see them but they couldnt see me.

My eldests imaginative play is very exasperated, no wonder as thats how i have been with her today really, and she keeps putting her dolly to bed saying, oh you MUST be tired, in exactly the voice i use! She also says now stay in bed or there will be big trouble dont know where she gets that from!

My youngest she keeps making the parent dolls kiss and cuddle and put their baby to bed in the cot or put it in the swing. She is very 'calm' play.

You can learn a lot from watching them play you know! I will now try to be a bit let exasperated with my eldest today!

Awww bless 'em! I know what you mean about them reflecting your own moods; I've had many a guilt trip listening to some of the things my 3yr old dd comes out with .

Do you think the differences in your dd's play reflects their personalities then or just that you have been acting differently with them today?

DD1 and her best friend are playing schools. The teacher is in the wendy house "writing" and won't let anyone come in and talk to her

i think it does reflect the difference in their personalities, and very probably the difference in my parenting, in that with my two year old, she is younger so i tend to be a bit softer, and with my three year old i tend to get exasperated a lot quicker because i feel she should 'know better' in that i have told her not to do things for a whole year more than her sister!

with the personalities, DD2 is very much her star sign, a cancer, all loving and a real home bird.

DD1, is a red head and an aries, she is full of bossiness and stubborness and temper!
