Wobbly Adult Teeth (urgent)

MrsSnape · 30/06/2008 21:27

My son got kicked in the mouth tonight and one of his adult teeth at the front (the big rabbit teeth) started bleeding. Once we got that sorted out we noticed the tooth is now wobbly. Not massivly but I don't think it would take much to knock it out.

Should I take him to dentist or will it be ok?

Take him to the dentist tomorrow if you can. Much easier to cap and glue a tooth that is still in situ than try and repeg it later when it's completely come out.

My son smacked his adult teeth on a water slide last year. They bleed and are a bit wobbly (side to side wobble not front to back)... dentist didn't seem too concerned said they'd strengthen up. It doesn't seem to bother him at all, but I'm always checking them out.

Ow, MrsS

It may well be OK but take him anyway - the dentist will prob want to xray to make sure there's no hidden damage.

DS1 smacked himself in the mouth aged about 9 parachuting down the underside of a giant slide using his coat (so he didn't see the upright he crashed into. Stupid boy )

Both his front teeth were bashed & pushed about, the dentist splinted one to the next. They both survived, but he lost all sensation in one and most in the other and now (aged 20) has veneers.
