Using a Moby wrap with Newborn

After deciding that the mei tai wrap I bought didn't work well with a newborn I bought a Moby wrap for my 2 week old.

It seems a hundred times better already but I just wanted to double check how their feet are supposed to sit inside the wrap. I worry that they're being crushed and held funny in there (which I was also worried about with the mei tai but the soft fabric of the Moby seems much gentler).

Am I just being paranoid and it's okay to have her legs/feet all tucked up in there??

It's fine for them to be all scrunched up, think how scrunched she was 2 weeks ago! Her legs should be in a frog position, ie bent up at the knees so she is sort of kneeling on you, they shouldn't be spread until she is a few months older.
HTH!

this might be a silly question but how should her feet face? toes outward or inward?

I have no idea, I have never thought about it!

I used to put the wrap on and then put her on my shoulder cuddled into me and slide her down into the wrap so I suppose.

This site has clear instructions for newborns and older. I used to mainly carry DDs lying down along one cross strap so I could feed them without too much hassle (and I could see their scrunchy faces)
