Which are the least smelly disposables?

Well, I am faced with a long (10 hours) car journey and I won't have access to a washing machine at the other end for a day or so and so have come to the conclusion that I need to use disposables (sob....) or buy another 12 bamboo nappies (which I really don't want to do). So, which are the least smelly disposables? Can you help me? TIA.

I stick a motherease wrap over the sposi if I have to use them - then i find it doesn't smell

I found Boots own to be the least smelly, used resusables and hate the smell!

MHC - Yep, it's the chemical smell that bothers me. The other smells, well, there ain't anything we can do about those! I resorted to pampers in an emergency a couple of weeks ago (well, I forgot the changing bag and had to scrounge) and the smell when they go wet made me boak.

unmadam - thanks for the tip about the wrap.

milf - would love to go to Boots but there aren't any where I live (Lux). And no M&S food hall either... sob.

Again, Moltex. They are lovely. Just SO expensive

Why not get a dozen or so terries? I would use disps on a long trip but if you really don't want to terries or prefolds are a cheap option.

JoyS - daft question. What is the difference between terries and prefolds?

Thanks for the tip pistachio.

A second vote for nature baby nappies here. Use them for holidays, etc and fine them great. Also they are biodegradable so another plus point there

JoyS · 27/06/2008 23:59

Prefolds are flat cotton twill with extra layers in the middle (Cotton Bottoms), you can fold them into thirds and place them in a wrap or fold them so they kind of look like a fitted and fasten with a nippa or pins and put a wrap on them.

A dozen of either would see you through the trip and wouldn't cost a fortune.

Hope that helps!
