Bedwetting alarm after 13 dry nights: restart from day one?

Just looking for a bit of advice re: nighttime bedwetting. After being dry for many months, my 5 year old has started wetting the bed at night. To start with thought it was a one off, but then became a pattern of every other night.

Anyway, in an attempt to nip it in the bud, I borrowed a wet stop alarm. You have to use it until they are dry 14 consecutive nights. We’ve had 13 completely dry nights…not even getting up to wee. Tonight was night 14….obviously the night of an accident!!

Now, the instructions say we are to start again from day 1. Just wondering from anyone out there with experience of them if this is completely necessary? I am wondering whether the extreme heat has played a part? She also didn’t wake when the alarm sounded, so it didn’t actually do the job!!

I wouldn't be surprised if this is purely due to an increase in fluid intake during this extra hot spell. I know I am definitely drinking more and as a result needing more wees including at night. I would just carry on & try not to look at it as a setback
