Anyone's 11-month-old gone quiet before speech picked up again?

Hey all. Looking for experiences with your babies just to give me a better idea of how ‘in the grey’ my little man currently is for communication.
hes 11.5 months and I was going through the ASQ for his review in a few weeks and it’s made me worry a little.
he did babble consonants from 6 months but was always quite quiet - he did use a range of sounds though. For the last 3 weeks he’s been essentially mute except the odd ‘ga’ and squeals. He has not ever made any word or sound to mean anything. He doesn’t point or raise his arms as a gesture to be lifted he just starts trying to climb my legs and wriggle out of high chair etc if he wants me.
he can clap, wave in context, answers to his name and plays peekaboo. He can give a cuddle when asked and knows like where is mama where is dada to look at us etc
the thing that worries me is the stopping of the skill more than it being delayed. Has anyone had this and speech came back? He has started cruising around and walking with his walker in this time and is cutting first molars so I’m trying to be ratiomal
And consider They might be influencing but I can’t help worry too
thak you!!

If you’ve always responded to him wriggling out of the high chair or climbing your legs by picking him up, why would he change the gesture? Sounds like he had his own developing understanding of cause and effect even if the gestures differ.
Could it be his hearing do you think? Perhaps he has developed glue ear in the last few weeks? Or already had it which was why he was quiet and now it’s got worse? To be honest though if he’s just started thinking about walking it could just be that. They tend to concentrate on one skill set at a time!
