How can I start to do something for me and improve my life?

Tale as old as time…married, two small children and realised today I spend my entire life doing stuff for everyone else and literally nothing just for me. Ever. And now I’ve realised that I feel so down about it, pathetic I know.
DH would absolutely support this and no issue with me getting out the house more, I just don’t know where to start. Youngest starts school in Sept and then I will have Fridays to myself but otherwise can’t work from home so at work Mon-Thurs. Ideas very welcome

Are your children’s vaccines up to date?

Have you got a childhood hobby you gave up, or something you always wanted to do as a child and didn’t? I started beginners adult ballet a few years ago and it’s been so lovely and silly and just fun!

Start small. Cook your favourite meals, have music you like playing while you do stuff, find tv you want to watch.
Get yourself a lovely mug that just yours.
Look at what’s on in your area, find meetup groups and see if any of them inspire you.

Gym/exercise class, I recently joined one and it has been great for my mental health and really boosted my confidence, I have also made new friends and been invited to multiple social events

I joined a ladies skittles team! Not very good at skittles but it's fun and we're not hugely competitive, we just laugh all the time šŸ˜‚ they're such a brilliant bunch of women and over the years have become great friends. We've all rallied round to support each other through various health issues, bereavement, divorce etc. But most of all, we just really have a laugh and it's such a tonic šŸ˜„

Step out of your comfort zone and join a ladies team - could be football, rugby, netball, darts, skittles, running group, tai chi - anything that gets you moving and having fun & meeting other women! You won't regret it šŸ’

Thanks all. Yeah I think I really need to do something sport / movement based. I’ve never really had any particular hobbies so nothing to pick up again so to speak. But I think I need yo get out my comfort zone. Thank you all x

I went back to a physical hobby I did before I had dc1. Had to stop once I was pg and then didn't have childcare when dcs were small. I've only been back a few months but I found my body has adjusted well despite the 8 year break!
