I'm curious about them really- they look a bit complicated - are they any good?

IMO....

not very complicated

not very good

prone to leaking IME - I wouldn't buy a whole set unless you know they will work for you.

thanks. I was just looking at them online and all that popping in of inserts looked a bit fussy, but I was curious. I think I'll stick with my totsbots.

Got one for occasional out and abouts when too much fuss to use the real ones (given by a friend), but don't like the popper system, much prefer nappy nippas on usual cloth nappies.

Well since everyone hasn't leapt in to say how fabulous they are, I think they are prolly a no no. I need to get a few more nappies for when dc3 arrives. I think I'll get some of the new bumhuggers instead.

I got one at the baby show - looks lovely but wicks badly overnight and unsure as to how much longer will fit ds3 and he is only 14 months. Also very bulky with the insert in. boo hoo

moocowme · 26/06/2008 19:24

hm i have some home made all in ones that I stuff for ds who is 9mo. They work fine and are just as good as disposables for up to four hours. mine fasten with velcrous so just wondering when DS will realise he can take them off.

PInkyminkyohnooo · 26/06/2008 20:32

Is there somewhere good to get home made nappy patterns from- or did you make yours yourself?

I got it off the internet, made one then tested it then slight adjustment then sewed sme more. I think I also compared it to a disposable in size as well.

is where I got all my information from. I bought my fabrics from aus/nz as i wanted some funky nappies. mine are pocket all in ones.

isaidno · 29/06/2008 11:57

I got one at the baby show. Fits really nicely on my newborn (minus the extra booster) and is nice and soft.

Nappyzoneneedsanewname · 29/06/2008 19:37

i got one too - assuming you mean the pop in - was good, contained well, washed well, nice and soft - not stay dry liner which was its only downfall for me as my boy likes a dry bott

Octothechildherder · 29/06/2008 21:57

so why does mine leak?

mumdebump · 29/06/2008 23:44

Mine (or rather DD's) leaked too on first use. I think we just hadn't managed to tuck all the inserts into the wrap properly. They've been fine ever since. We use them with the extra boosters for over night and they are so bloody fiddly to get on DD and only just seem to fit. She is a skinny minny so am not sure how we'll cope if she gets any bigger.
I love the look and feel of the nappies and the fact they are bamboo, so eco-friendly, but am not sure if we'd have been better off with a pocket nappy as the poppers are a bit fiddly.

Nappyzone we use a Totsbots fleece liner on top of the pop-in bits to keep the botty dry.

Nappyzoneneedsanewname · 30/06/2008 12:18

I dont know octo - i cant be done with adding other layers to anything mumdebump which is why i am a pocket chick.. - i did sell mine on for that reason only.... Im back into wonderoos myself while they are cheap and am loving them overnight - i have had an affair with wool and now they need relanolising i am lazy with the pockets of a night....

lackaDAISYcal · 03/07/2008 22:21

pinky, I have some to trial at the minute.......I can send you one when I'm done with the trial if you like

I've not tried them yet though as I'm waiting for the others i'm trialling to arrive so I can wash them all at the same time, but they look really interesting and are lovely and soft and don't look too bulky, although the nighttime booster looks huge in the nappy. I don't suppose bulkiness at night is a problem though.
