Night light for a 4year old?

Not sure if night light is the correct title! My 4 year old has been getting in with us wanting us for the past 3 or 4 nights, this isn't like him at all he usually goes in his bed stays there all night

But he woke quite upset and unsettled then has woke last night just wanting us so I spoke to him and he said it was scary as its dark and something scared him and woke him

I know nightmares are normal now and then but obviously if hes waking in a dark room hes scared etc

Would this be suitable? As hes not a baby , loves spiderman or is it a bit counterproductive having a little light or lamp? Dont want to get one then it just keeps him up etc!

We just have a plug in nightlight which which happens to be under a chair, so not too bright - it lights the room without being distracting. It only comes on when it gets dark.

We have a few. I would recommend don’t get battery powered! Learnt from experience. They drain batteries so fast.
we also leave the bathroom little light on the shaving one

We've used a Yoto player for night light from about 3/4 years, it's primarily an audio book player but the night light feature is fantastic and they can change the brightness with a little dial and you can change it to different colours. It's pricey but definitely stopped the getting out of bed at night for us.

My daughter has a little light . She is nearly 5 and has had it since she was about 3. She always has her bedroom door wide open and the bathroom light on. It’s way too light for me to sleep but she sleeps like a log. If he’s saying he’s scared and it’s dark then I can’t see any harm in trying a night light.

My teenagers still have a nightlight, we have plain dimmable ones from Amazon that use a usb cable

My 11 year old still likes her plug in night light and she now has led lights in her room as well although these can be dimmed. She hates the dark. I always wonder how she can sleep in what I consider a pretty light room! But she seems to manage just fine.
