Potty training

Hoping for some advice. My nearly three year old did great with potty training back in march but over the last three weeks keeps pooing in his pants. (Always asks for the toilet for a wee). I'm clueless why this is happening. Seems no issues with his bowls. I don't want to put any pressure on him and when I say " just tell mummy and daddy, he always says ok mummy" but then it just keeps happening. Any advice would be great!

Have you ruled out constipation? Or has he been constipated so worried about it hurting?
Does he have a constant time like shortly after food or excercise?

@jannier doesn't seem constipated. His stools seem healthy, and he goes once a day sometimes every other day. I've asked if it hurts and he says no and seems in no pain. He did suffer with toddler diarrhea but this seemed to clear up once he turned 2.

Its not unusual for Toddler Diarrhea to go the other way, are you sure its really soft not overflow? Does he help clean himself after youve removed the worst? Tipping it into toilet etc. Do you make minimal fuss of it?

Oh that's interesting. It seems a healthy stool. No he doesn't clean himself, I do it and I then put it in the toilet and he enjoys the process of flushing ect
I'm wondering if due to how long he suffered with toddler diarrhea going for a poo has just caused a lot of anxiety in general for him? But what's confusing is he managed fine from march. I try to make minimal fuss as he is quite sensitive and I didn't want to add any further anxiety. Just worried for him starting nursery in school in September where he is expected to be fully toilet trained. Im just not sure how to encourage him to tell me he needs to go

September is a long way off try not to stress they pick up on it and it gets worse.
Id look for pooh ques hiding, odd faces etc and try sitting him 10 minutes or so after eating just like going back to basics.
Does he get himself dressed once youve laid it out whilst you look busy on other things?
