Babbling regression?

Hi! Has anyone ever had experience with their baby/toddler beginning babbling and then stopping for an extended amount of time before resuming? My daughter is 2 weeks shy of turning 12 months old and isnt babbling. She started babbling at 9 almost 10 months old and that lasted 2ish weeks and then it stopped and hasnt returned. She makes some vowel sounds throughout the day and what I think are raspberries(they dont look like the typical raspberries is why i am unsure), but is overall a quiet baby. In that time of her not babbling she has learned new skills like waving hi/bye, cruising, standing on her own for a few seconds and things like that. Just looking for any others who might’ve experienced that same? Worried the babbling wont come back.

My DD went backwards a couple of times, and I was puzzled but when I thought about it, it coincided with big changes. We went on holiday for a week and DH was around all day. Another time, she had a bad cold. The third time we stayed with in-laws, only for two days but usually it had been me and her, or her childminder, so again she was hearing new voices.
If she's waving hello and goodbye for the first time, that sounds like progress.

Babies often put some skills essentially on pause whilst they focus on another skill, which you’ve noticed yourself.

Totally normal for them to do this but if you are worried about her being a little quiet, it might be worth doing this progress checker from Speech & Language UK, just to check she’s in track Smile
