Birthday ideas for 4 year old?

I’m a bit stuck on what to get my 4 year old for her birthday, especially for her main present. We already have quite a lot of stuff in a small house (magnet tiles, duplo, Brio, toy kitchen, doll and dolls pram and cradle etc) so don’t want to add to the clutter unless it’s something worthwhile that will get lots of use. What did your 4 year olds like best at this age? I’m wondering whether to get a playmobil set as she likes small world play with her duplo animals but is it just redundant with the duplo and another bulky toy with lots of small pieces to store? Keen to hear any other ideas.

A Yoto - best thing we ever bought for DD 3rd birthday and it’s still used 6years later now DD is 9

Is she into crafts?

If so I'd buy a selection of craft stuff. Beads and elastic for necklaces, some of that black card that you scratch to let the colour show, hama beads, pens and paper, stickers, glitter pens, stamps and an ink pad etc. That's heaven for a lot of four year olds!

Or get her a few small bits and make her big present a day out or an experience.

Literally just had a 4th birthday last month. Main presents were a dressing up rail and costumes and a magnetic wall arch both absolutely massive hits. Been played with every day.
Second a yoto, we got one for 3rd birthday and is still used every single day. For Christmas we got the kids a shared present of a story dream projector and that has also been a massive hit (although be warned our bedtime routine is now 2 of those before our 3 books) 😂.

Does she have a bike/scooter?

A Yoto is a great present. We got one for their 2nd birthday and they have used it so much. If they don’t really need anything, I wouldn’t worry about a ‘big present’. They don’t really have the concept of how much things cost. Mine was overjoyed with a 50p glider and small pack of haribo. Save the money until there is something big they need later on.

Both our grandchildren played with a Galt Marble Run at this age, cost about £25. Yes, help was needed putting it all together but once done they soon adapted bits of it and moved bits of the route and had lots of fun with extra marbles we already had. They're both in school now but it's still set up (for now!) and they still go to it when they're here.

I second a Yoto, bike, or scooter if she doesn’t have one of these. Otherwise I’d get consumables like crafting things, stickers, pens, play dough etc, and some experience gifts. Maybe a pass to a local park/activity/soft play/swimming pool. If you have a garden you could invest in something for outdoors that isn’t adding clutter to the house.

For our child turning 5 we are getting a garden swing, a set of binoculars, a torch, some crafting things, and a new bike as they have outgrown their old one. We are also avoiding clutter as we have absolutely plenty of toys!
