Recommendations for baby chair to support sitting. I don’t want a high chair.
i like the fisher price sit with me deluxe but it’s £130 😬

How old is the baby? When they're tiny they don't need one and it's bad for their spine, and good luck getting a 7 month old to stay in it quietly!

It won’t be until the recommended age I’ll be using it. I want one of the activity ones not just for sitting.

I don't think you'll use it much. Babies like to be able to see, so they prefer high chairs with toys on the tray. Those chairs aren't safe until about 9 months when the baby can sit properly on their own, by which point most babies would find them quite boring.

I’m sorry read that as floor chain 😂 we have the mamas and papas seat that has a tray and toy attached. I prefer it over the bumbo as they seem less squashed

Also I got mine on Vinted and she rarely uses it she prefers her baby bjorn bouncer or her jumperoo

I already have a high chair. This is for when we are in the living room.

We had the Mamas and Papas one which we got for weaning when travelling/staying with family, so it was effectively a travel high chair. I remember reading some guidance about their use and not really using it at home but instead increasing tummy time to support skills for sitting. I don't think my baby would have tolerated being in it for long without food on the tray anyway. We used the activity tray quite a lot though, just detached it and put it on her normal high chair or play mat!

Now she is a toddler she likes to sit in it to put her socks and trousers on.
