She never wants to go again

If she’s 14, the court won’t force her to see him. She has choice

Well, he certainly wouldn't achieve full 'custody' (though it's called a child arrangement order now) in that scenario unless he has sufficient proof of neglect from the other parent (you?)
When did this incident occur? Are you already in court proceedings for the child arrangement order?
14 isn't a young child, the police would proceed as outlined above and will probably wish to have at least a recorded conversation with each child.

Unless he claims parental alienation and claims you’ve forced the child to say that

Unexpectedlysinglemum · 25/04/2026 22:47

Oh just seen she’s 14 she’ll be fine

The story is hardly consistent

Don't panic about stopping contact. You have to put your children first
I stopped contact and it was met with respect that I had done so for good reason

Agree, my child was a fair bit younger than that and the judge agreed it was his choice.

It's just a shame it had to be the child's decision because cafcass were too pro-contact to keep him safe

At 14 she can probably make her views clear on that.
And parental alienation has been picked apart as a concept in recent years. There's a growing recognition of how it was used as a way of fighting back by abusive men

Yes it is. You are just not following it well.

Abigale10 · 26/04/2026 10:42

I had a similar situation and had texts wanting to go to A and E for her wrist a week later. I had told her dad. Her wrist seemed fine but it obviously hurt. We didn’t go

No it’s not.

Dad hit kid. Oh actually he pinned her down. Oh actually he does hit her as well.

Abigale10 · 26/04/2026 11:04

Dad grabbed wrist then a week later it hurt.
he is abusive in general but as we all know dads hit kids and with no marks you can’t do anything

Abigale10 · 26/04/2026 11:06

The father of my kids is always hitting them. You tell the police and ss . No one can do anything without evidence. It’s just denied

Catsarestillflumpy · 26/04/2026 11:06

A 14 year old can decide where they live surely. A court wouldn’t be dictating it

Abigale10 · 26/04/2026 11:07

in This case I agree

Abigale10 · 26/04/2026 13:00

I wonder if they will charge your ex ?

Abigale10 · 26/04/2026 13:00

It sounds like they should
