Should we start potty training now or wait until after holiday?

My LG has just turned 2 and is ready for potty training. Shes really bright so hoping that she will pick it up well and she is very interested in moving to her potty. However, we are going to be doing a 5 hour drive to Cornwall for a weeks holiday mid June and although we will be having breaks on the way, I'm wondering if such long stints in the car would be too much for LG wee wise. So, do you think we should go ahead with potty training now so that it is hopefully established before we go to Cornwall, or hold off and train when we get back? TIA.

I’d go for it. Mine both trained around this age and they got it fairly quickly. My rule for first few months was take them to the loo every 90 mins - equivalent to stopping about twice.

Do it now. Put her in a pull up for the drive. She can tell you when she needs a wee, and you can hopefully stop, and if she has an accidemt she has a pull up on.

June is ages away. By then she will be able to hold it for a couple of hours and you're not going to drive for 5 hours without a stop, are you?

Yes definitely go for it now- hopefully by June she'll be ok in the car for a while. Take for a wee before you leave, then stop every couple of hours for a wee. Pull up for the car is a good idea, and pack a travel potty in the car so you can stop in a lay by if needed.

Do it now, I potty trained my just turned 2 year old a month before our holiday abroad, I put her in a nappy for the travel day there and back (so glad I did! She went for a wee on the toilet still with it on but was so much less stressful) she regressed a bit on holiday but got straight back to it when we were home no problems

Now. June is ages away and waiting until they're older makes it harder, they get super stubborn the closer they get to 3.
