Travelling with young children

I'm planning on going abroad for a beach/city break with my DC in the summer. It's a place that we've been to before, we rent an Airbnb and beach/activities are all within walking distance for us.

DD6 can walk for miles and is happy to do so. DS will be almost 4 years old when we go. In previous years, we have always taken the buggy for him and its worked well but is this still a good idea when he's almost 4? He is a big boy (almost in 5-6 clothes at 3 years old) but he still gets a tired quickly and would rather not walk. He also isn't a fan of scooting or riding a bike (despite me trying my hardest!). If he had his way he would sit in the buggy and be quite happy with that.

My question is is it terrible to take a buggy to cart him around so we can get out and be out all day and not worry about him needing/wanting to rest? Is there another solution that I dont know about? Any other ideas or thoughts?

Temperature wise it will be 25-30° and I did think about a backpack carrier but I will be sweating in that heat!

Take the buggy and enjoy your holiday!

Totally fine, take a buggy! Get a clip on sun umbrella

Yes I’d just take the buggy if that’s what makes him happy. Anyone who judges you is an idiot.

Definitely take it. If nothing else, he is far more likely to decide he is a big boy who doesn't need it if you make it clear he is welcome to go on using it! And just a thought, could be a long shot, but it might be worth checking if your Airbnb can lend you a buggy? Just mentioning, because we run an Airbnb and I keep stuff like that (outgrown by my kids) just in case guests need to borrow it. Saves you having to cart one with you.

Definitely take a buggy!
