Does Your child attend full time school? How much time do you have to take off work? How much help do they need at school? I am increasingly being asked by parents to fill in forms, to back their application. Most of these pupils manage very well and schools get zero extra funding. Most of the parents also work full time.

Not sure about DLA but just wondering if he’s also been to the Allergy Clinic? My DSis was the same as a child and it turned out to be aggravated by pollen, house dust mites and CMPA.

Cow’s Milk Allergy

Cow’s milk allergy is an abnormal response by the body’s immune system in which proteins in a food are recognised as a potential threat.

DLA eligibility is nothing to do with being in school or not, it’s about the additional costs of caring for a disabled child.

@Kerrydevenbai it will very much depend on what your day to day looks like and how you’ve described that on the form. They’ll look for caring that goes beyond the care a typical 9 year old would need. They’ll look difficulty is that you parent the child you have, and adjust to their needs so don’t always see the extra they need because it’s your normal, so you don’t think to mention it. For example my DD could take 2 hours or more to get up and ready for school, I adjusted around her needs and didn’t realise it wasn’t normal to take hours in the morning just walking her through her routine.

See what they come back with.
