Best sun cream for a 12 month old on holiday

Trying to smear the factor 50 on my 12 month old is like trying to put sun cream on a cat! Especially on her little face.

It's fine, I can do it, and happy to make do. Only a couple of minutes of drama every now and then, eh!

Since we have our first family holiday at the end of May, I thought I'd ask the silly question... What are the best suncreams for little ones you've used? Any score extra points for easier application, in your experience?

TIA!

The absolute best we found in terms of not getting burnt on my fair skinned child with sensitive skin was this. https://www.boots.com/la-roche-posay-anthelios-dermo-baby-sun-cream-spf50-plus-50ml-10221515?srsltid=AfmBOorbtl3kowYK6MydZ-SksLpf35NZ2GNhT1a56Srft9LD77DkFGVw. However it is thick and does not sink in well so they will generally have a white cast. But it is the best I’ve found for preventing burning and no reactions.

Firstly, you need proper rash vests that cover the arms and ideally one that covers all the way down to the ankle. I got a full bodysuit one from Next. All the sunscreen in the world is going to rub right off in the water and sand.

For the face, I use a sun bum stick. No mess, I find it easier than cream. And I use cream for the hands and feet.

I have always used Soltan Once. Factor 50+, 5* UVA, no reactions even from my child with eczema.

Get your self a solar buddy. You put your suncream in it and it’s easy to apply.

I’m wary of those as when we used it, I never felt like it was putting enough on.

agree with others about using the SPF vests. We also use the Aldi suncream that’s in a spray for the other bare areas.

We live in the south of France I usually put my girls in the long sleeved swim outfits with upf 50 then I’m a big fan of Biolane factor 50 stick which is low toxicity and easy to apply or some of the la Roche posay ones are low toxicity so we use them too but they aren’t stick form.
