All she does is cry..

Hello

I have a 15 week old and she cries about 75% of the time she is awake. She has almost completely stopped napping during the day (she would nap for 6 hours+ total before) and won't sleep in her carrier or pram. Even standing and sshing and rocking her doesn't work anymore. IF she naps, she fights it for an hour beforehand, making herself overtired, naps for 30 minutes and she wakes up crying. She doesn't show any signs of illness.

Is this normal? Did it happen to you? What helped? When will it end? My husband and I don't have any help nearby and we're losing our minds.

My youngest was exactly the same, he didn’t settle until he was on solids, in fact the HV got us to wean him early at 17 weeks. But I would say he was still prone to a lot of crying until he was about 12 months old, sorry you probably don’t want to hear that! Are you using a sling?

If she had torticollis, there is a decent chance that she could be helped by seeing a pediatric osteopath or chiropractor..just make sure its a pediatric specialist

We're back with a load of Nutramigen. I mentioned one or two green poops so it's a start. No signs of infection or anything. The GP was very understanding and helpful, not like the first one we saw. We'll be back in a week for a review to see if it's worked.

Good luck OP, my first was also on Nutramigen. I wasn't ever 100% convinced on CMPA, but mine didn't cry the way you've described yours is.

We did have better results with gripe water rather than infacol, it helped settle his stomach/bring up gas much better. And I did a baby massage course from 4m old which showed me sooo many ways to massage the tummy, not just bicycle legs, which also massively helped him pass gas better. You could probably also find stuff on youtube for free. We also weaned a bit early at 5.5m, on the GPs advice.

Hope your little one feels better soon.

I think nutramagin is hydrolyzed. So it still contains cows milk protein. If you see a reduction in symptoms but still see issues then ask for a completely dairy free formula next time you see them.

Yeah the GP mentioned there's another formula we can use if this one doesn't work. Thanks!
