Porcelain or stainless steel plates? Dividers or non divided?

I’m stuck on what plates are a good investment long term.
i like the Elk and Friends plates but they are expensive and don’t want to waste my money.

I like the stainless steel as they won’t break if dropped etc
Porcelain, you can warm the food in the plate in the
microwave.

Not sure about divided or non divided??

Help me make a decision please!

I have the Elk and Friends porcelain plates and absolutely love them!!! Plastic, silicone and bamboo all get quite damaged over time with food stains etc. Silicone takes on an awful taste after a while. Bamboo starts to unglue after a year. Porcelain all the way, they go in the dishwasher, microwave, fridge, no problem at all. I like the divided ones as I cook a lot of stews etc so quite saucy stuff and I like to put some fruit etc on the side.

but to actually answer, divided or not, this reddit thread offers varying opinions

Not sure any of them will be used long term tbh. My one year old has already started rejecting food presented to her on baby table wear and goes for the stuff on proper plates. Just FYI!

Charity shop fondue plates?

I recently recommended a charity shop fondue pot on the “single portion cookware” thread, had a look on Fb Marketplace and saw lots of people were offering full sets (with divided plates) for a tenner!
