Using Microfibre cloths as boosters for nighttime- are these any good??

Recently started with cloth and using bambineo in the day and bumbles at night. I am boosting the bumbles with a folded terry nappy, but DS is walking like John Wayne and I am worried that it will affect his hips or something else . I have read about using a microfibre cloth to boost- would this actually work? What do you think?

I've used some of these folded together to boost with success before. Hemp is a good booster as well for heavy wetters.

They are a bargain- will definitely get some to try, not sure that he is a heavy wetter as such as he hasn't leaked through his turbo boosted nappy, but I just want something slimmer. How many would you use in one nappy though?

I think with DS I used three folded together (still pretty slim).

You can get microfibre bathtowells from bargain shops, cut them up (they don't fray) and use those. They are thicker than these cleaning cloths so you would just need one piece.
DOn't worry about a nighttime nappy giving a case of the John Waynes - babies don't put their thighs together so they are not uncomfortable.

I use the tesco value ones during the day to boost my hemp nappies. I find that one cloth folded into three (like a prefold) and placed inside the nappy and nice and thin but gives us at least another hour or so of absorbancy on top of what we get from the nappy alone.

At night times I have used a pad folded bamboo terry square inside a pocket nappy - I preferred the bamboo at nights as it s more flexible than prefold or normal terry.

Like flibberty said, don't worry about him walking like John Wayne it is somthing the disposable nappy manufacturers make a big thing of but 30 yrs ago all babies wore big thick terry squares without any problems (in fact a bulky nappy is good for 'clicky hip' problems).

What about this bargainous towel?

Bigbadmouse, I had clicky hips and had to wear two nappies, so I wondered if it would be no good for him if he didn't actually need correcting. Thanks to you and Flibberty for the reassurance.

we used tescos ones too.cheap, cheerful and did the job.

I do the same as bigbadmouse, wrap a hemp booster with a microfibre cloth (tesco value white one), from what I understand microfibre absorbs really quickly but isn't great at holding on to a lot of moisture yet the hemp is slower at soaking up moisture but holds onto it very well - i.e. they work really well in combination!

Just to update, I used 3 of the cloths inside the bumble last night and he was still dry in the morning. Still was pretty huge though- although I am comparing him to his wam bamboo daytime nappies which are super skinny!
