My child loves Stuart Little. he could watch it all day and all night over and over. He even gets ready to smile before the funny bit comes on.

Ah yes, Nemo. Actually I quite like it but it does get annoying after a while!

Dst (age 3) both love The Iron Giant, which I found quite sad but they like the "big robot." Also Dogtanian, Shrek, Monsters Inc.

But at the moment it has to be Nemo. They have the cuddly toys that they sleep with, hugging into them and dst1 (who has Dory fish) sings "Just keep swimming" every time he is in the bath!

Just my 3yo then that could watch Jeremy Clarkson DVD's all day and night then!! apart from the odd Thunderbirds (the original version) or Thomas. Cbeebies maybe on but is not really watched. But Jeremy Clarkson, everything stops.

KatieinSpain · 26/01/2005 15:40

DS1 had his "Nemo" month, followed by "Toystory" and has now moved onto either "Maisy" or "Bob". I've only got to watch "Balamory Panto" once . DS2 is a firm "Tubbies" fan. I do worry that I let them watch too much and today, when they loaded the video machine and put the tv on, kind of, confirmed it . Mind you, they have shown me some of the remote control's uses - at 2.5 and 15 months.

honeycombe · 26/01/2005 15:55

Ds loves
Postman Pat,
Fireman Sam and
Barney (I like the song at the end too!!)
He goes through phases though and is only allowed to watch them later in the day just before dinner so that we don't end up watching the haunted fishtank allday!!!!!!

Nikkichik · 26/01/2005 16:01

The Many Adventures of Wee Pooh!
Piglets Big Moove
the Tigger Moovie
Kipper
Peter Wabbit (featuring Mrs Ticklemouse and the Floppy Bunnies!)
Ice Age
Nemo
Apparently there a new Winnie the Pooh film coming out in March (something about Heffalumps) so will have to look out for that one when it comes on DVD!

Homsa · 29/01/2005 19:52

DS (19mths) loves the two animals DVDs from Baby Einstein (World Animals and Neighbourhood Animals). Must have watched them a 100 times and is still fascinated. Does anyone know of other DVDs with animals (real ones, cartoons and puppets leave him cold)?

dd (2yr 8m) loves Bugs life and Toy Story and because I am 31 w pg I have given in to her watching them on repeat for a quiet life on the days we are indoors (very bad mother) but as soon as dd2 is born and the spring arrives, we will be off out down the park again and getting out of that bad habit. The stats are quite bad these days about kids watching too much TV.

If I have to watch Mickey Mouse's Twice Upon a Christmas one more time god knows what I'll do. Does anyone have a DVD of Once Upon a Christmas they want to sell? A change would be as good as a rest!

helsi · 30/01/2005 00:37

Bump the elephant DVD. DD aged 2 can sing the whole introductory song.

louisse28 · 30/01/2005 19:38

My little boy hasn't really shown much of an interest in the telly or video, but lately he has gone mad on Barney, so when I put Barney on he is in heaven.. Now as to whether mummy likes Barney is another question.... Mmmmm If I have to hear the 'I love you song' one more time!!!!!!

Hulababy · 30/01/2005 21:47

My DD's (2y 9m) favourite video is Beauty and the Beast. I only won in on e-bay just over a week ago, but she has watched it almost daily since Just won Little Mermaid this weekend too

mummylonglegs · 30/01/2005 22:20

Noddy Noddy Noddy Noddy Noddy Noddy

Made the enormous mistake of getting 'Noddy saves Christmas' dvd and we must have watched it every single day since mid-December.

We also have a lot of 'retro' dvds which dp (being a nostalgic chap) bought, like Bod, Mr. Men, Fingerbobs, Bagpuss, Clangers etc. etc. Although I'm way too young to remember them first time round of course ...

janeybops · 30/01/2005 22:37

DD (nearly 4) loves Brum. Why?

DS (15 months) loves the tubbies - already suffered through them with dd

KBear · 30/01/2005 23:04

My DS aged three loves a video my dad taped of Pete Waterman and steam trains - I kid you not. That child does not move a muscle while he's watching it! Hilarious. Second favourite is Thomas the Tank Engine of course!

jamiesam · 30/01/2005 23:22

Kbear - thought I'd read my own message before I'd even typed it.

My dad phoned us up to remind us to video Yorkshire Trains every week for 4 weeks for ds1, aged 3. He will watch 'Granda's trains' any time of the day, unless ds2, aged 1 1/2 gets his Pingu bid in first.

Both enjoy Thomas however (and Chitty Chitty Bang Bang and Mary Poppins) so not too many fights...
